Three Things I Learned This Week

Here are three random things I learned this week.

• Bevy 0.11 added support for morph target animation.

• Rust 1.71.0 added the C-unwind ABI.

I didn't understand the release note, so I learned more about platform ABIs (Application Binary Interfaces) and specifically about what unwinding is.

• Danswer v0.0.1 is an open source question/answer tool for enterprise. It ingests Slack, Github, Confluence, Google Drive, Jira, and others.

It currently uses OpenAI for its backend, which doesn't seem to line up well with enterprise privacy needs. From initial reactions online, it seems that people would love to see this tool incorporate self-hosted models in the future.
